Reach for the Stars! is a pledge-based reading incentive program that works like a read-a-thon. This literacy fundraising program returns 100% of the pledged funds back to the school and participating students.

The goal of the program is for the participants to read, or be read to, 300 minutes or more over the two-week period that starts on Thursday 2nd March.

Students Soar to Success in Reach for the Stars Fundraiser!

Congratulations to the 58 students who successfully completed their first Usborne Books Reach for the Stars reading incentive program. These students who participated committed to reading for at least 300 minutes over a two-week period while they collected pledges.

They collectively read over 19,000 minutes and raised over $3,600, which will be spent on books. From that total, these students chose and received 50%, or $1,800 in books, and the teachers and school library received the other half in books.

Two second-graders and a kindergartener were the top three readers in the school.

Usborne Books carries over 1300 award winning, colorful, fun, and educational children's books suitable for infants to young adults.
